Beginning in January 2023, I began collaging pages in day planners. I wanted to experiment with the combination of collage, pencils, markers, wax crayons and paint. Originally, these were created as a personal exercise tucked in between my pages of journalling and writing, but after viewing them all as a collection I decided to share. Presented here are some spreads of the approximately 120 I have created to date. My goal is to finish these two notebooks every six months, then begin two new books. I celebrate the “value of pausing” each day—ten to thirty minutes— to add an element, draw and color a background, or compose a quick collage with the scraps on my drawing table. Many of these collages evolved over the course of days or weeks. This has become a fun routine in my daily art practice.

I’ll be posting more as the weeks and months move forward.
